🎮 Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy XVI is the most action-forward mainline entry in the series. Set in Valisthea — a world powered by Mothercrystals and threatened by the Blight — it follows Clive Rosfield through a sweeping, decades-spanning narrative that doesn't shy away from dark subject matter. Slavery, political betrayal, and existential despair are front and center.

The combat is closest to Devil May Cry in structure: fluid combo chains, Eikon ability deployments, and the spectacular Eikon clashes that remain some of the most visually arresting boss sequences in modern gaming. For players who've wanted a Final Fantasy with genuinely satisfying action rather than turn-based or hybrid systems, XVI delivers completely.

Verdict: Essential for action RPG and FF fans. 40–60 hours for the main story.

🎮 Celeste

Celeste is the definitive precision platformer and one of the finest games of the decade. Madeline climbs a mountain. Each screen is a puzzle of movement — dash, climb, and momentum management — that escalates with surgical precision from accessible to brutal. The narrative about anxiety and self-acceptance is woven into the mechanics so completely that the challenge and the emotional journey are inseparable.

If you haven't played Celeste, June's PS Plus lineup just became unmissable.

Verdict: Masterpiece. Top 5 indie games ever made.

🎮 Aliens: Dark Descent

A competent real-time tactics game set in the Alien universe. Squad management, stealth mechanics, and base building — it's a respectable genre entry that delivers exactly what it promises. Not a masterpiece, but a solid addition for fans of the franchise or tactics games looking for something new.
